Seasons
1998-99
Record: 29-27, third in National Conference of a nine-team league.
Playoffs: Beat Yakima on the road to win a best-of-five, first-round set 3-2; then lost another epic match vs. Mo McHone and Sioux Falls, 3-2, in conference finals.
Scoring leaders: Jeff McInnis 21.0, Jeff Grayer 18.5, James Collins 16.9, Jimmy King 15.0, Jesse Pate 14.8.
Rebounding leaders: Steve Scheffler 6.7, Bakari Hendrix 6.5, Doug Smith 6.4.
Assist leaders: Lazarus Sims 5.9, McInnis 5.6, Pete Myers 4.2.
Year in review: An NBA lockout-impacted season never quite got rolling, but the Thunder actually got better after the end of NBA labor problems took McInnis to the Washington Wizards. ... A streak of nine wins in 10 games from Feb. 12 to March 5 was followed by a closing stretch of seven losses in the final eight games. ... Rookie of the Year Bakari Hendrix really came into his own in the playoffs, averaging 19.3 points and 6.8 rebounds, but another contentious series with Sioux Falls ended with a flat 99-86, Game 5 loss.
