 Lil' Kim sets BET record

Lil' Kim's "Countdown to Lockdown" easily became the most-watched series debut in BET's 25-year history, drawing 1.9 million viewers in its first airing Thursday. The six-episode reality show, which tracked Kim's final 14 days of freedom before she entered prison for a perjury conviction, received a 1.7 rating and aired in an estimated 1.4 million households. "When we showed the first episode to test audiences, we got the highest scores in the history of the company. So when it became the biggest series debut in the history of the network, I wasn't surprised," said Reginald Hudlin, BET President of Entertainment. "As powerful as the first episode is, the series finale is even better. I'm pleased and relieved that my first new series on BET has become a 'must see' for so many people." The next episode of "Lockdown" airs Thursday at 9:30 p.m. ET. Latest news...
