Mobb Deep flight makes emergency landing
Mobb Deep and 40 Glocc's trip to Chile was canceled Friday night after the flight they were on was forced to make an emergency landing. According to Glocc's public relations company, OGPR, Havoc, Prodigy and Glocc had been forced to stay overnight in Atlanta due to flight delays after missing their connecting flight to Chile, where they were to perform several shows. After almost an hour into the flight, the plane began dropping and rising and dropping again, soon after which passengers noticed flames and smoke pouring out of one of the engines. As everyone sat in their seats and wondered at their fate, the pilot announced that the plane had lost an engine and that they were going to attempt an emergency landing in Tampa, Fla., stressing that passengers should 'buckle up and not panic.' After a hard landing on Tampa's airstrip, they were met by dozens of fire trucks and ambulances. Had the incident happened 45 minutes later, the flight would have been over the ocean.
