React: Is Jay-Z's comeback a good idea?
Chicago celebrates 'Diddy Day'
Chicagoans were assured of a "good time" Friday as the city held its first ever "Diddy Day." Mayor Richard M. Daley honored Sean "Diddy" Combs for his charitable work at City Hall Friday by declaring it "Diddy Day." Daley, who presented the performer with a set of cuff links featuring the city's seal, said Combs is someone who uses his fame to help others and is a great role model. "He is investing in our children," Daley said. Puff Daddy told reporters that he was honored by the gesture. He said a lot of the community outreach he does is focused on helping inner-city children realize that "anything is possible. I came from the same communities ... And if I did it, they can do it." Puffy also said that naming a day after him in Chicago meant the city's residents were guaranteed to have a good time. "I will assure you that today's going to be a great day," P. Diddy said. "I don't know what's going to happen to you, but you're going to have a good time today."
