Fat Joe parts ways with Atlantic, goes independent
Fat Joe has left Atlantic Records and has decided to release his next album independently, a move he says will allow him to get more personal. "I just started writing on my own and made the album I truly wanted to make," Fat Joe told Billboard. His next album, Me Myself & I, is set to be released Oct. 17 on his Terror Squad label. The first single will be "Clap & Revolve," which was produced by the Runners. Joe's last album, All or Nothing, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in 2005, but didn't go far from there, selling only 293,000 copies, according to SoundScan.
