Club where Proof was killed closed
 The nightclub where Proof and another man were killed will be closed for a year, according to the Detroit Free Press. The CCC nightclub agreed to the closing as part of a deal with authorities, which also included fines for illegally operating after hours. Proof, whose real name was Deshaun Holton, was shot and killed April 11 after a fight that took place hours after CCC's legal closing time. Keith Bender also was shot during the altercation and died the next week. Police believe Proof shot Bender first, then Bender's cousin, Mario Etheridge, shot Proof. Etheridge has been charged with discharging a firearm in a building and carrying a concealed weapon. Proof was the best man in Eminem's January wedding. Latest news...
