Common's 'Finding Forever' gets release date
Common will release the follow-up to his highly successful Be on July 10. Finding Forever features production from Kanye West, will.i.am and the late J Dilla. "I want to leave a mark on this earth," Common told Billboard. "By making music and saying what I have to say in my music is one of the ways I will exist forever." The lead single will be "The People," a Kanye-produced track Common described to Billboard as a "declaration type of song."
D'Angelo and Lily Allen are among the guest appearances. No tour plans have been announced, but Common will perform April 14 at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and June 20 with Joss Stone and Ryan Shaw at New York's Central Park SummerStage.
