Busta Rhymes sued by fan
Busta Rhymes has been sued by a fan who says he was beaten up after he asked for an autograph. The lawsuit filed by Melvin Smith in Manhattan alleges that Rhymes and a bodyguard, Troy Green, "maliciously assaulted, beat, pushed and shoved him" outside a deli in September 2005. According to court papers, Smith has been unable to work as a handyman because of the injuries he suffered, which included a cut under his right eye that required four stitches. "He was asking for an autograph," Bruce Regenstreich told the Associated Press. "That's all he was doing. He's a fan. He wasn't being a wise guy. He got punched two or three times." Green was arrested the day after the incident and was charged with three misdemeanors. Rhymes was not charged and has not commented. Latest news...
