Jadakiss indicted on gun charge in New York
Jadakiss was indicted on gun and drug charges in White Plains, N.Y., on Thursday.
Jada, whose real name is Jason Phillips, entered a plea of not guilty to charges of possessing a loaded handgun and marijuana. Jadakiss and three other men were arrested on Oct. 7 in Yonkers. Police stopped his car after smelling marijuana and found the gun. "I have yet to see or hear of any evidence connecting my client to possessing this weapon," said Jada's lawyer, Clement Patti, adding that the MC was in the back seat and wasn't aware a gun was stashed in the front console. Jadakiss faces a maximum of seven years in prison if convicted.
