Busta Rhymes facing another assault charge
Busta Rhymes will be charged with assault after he allegedly beat up a one of his drivers the day after Christmas. According to the New York Post, Busta allegedly hit Eddie Hatchett repeatedly after the driver came to his office at 7p.m. on Dec. 26 to collect money he was owed by the MC. Accrding to the complaint filed at the 1st Precinct station in lower Manhattan, Busta punched Hatchett several times and caused a cut on his face. Busta's lawyer, Robert Kalina, reportedly told police the MC was in Africa, but would come in for questioning once he returns. Cops plan to hit Busta with a third-degree misdemeanor assault charge. Hatchett told the Post that he didn't want to discuss the incident. "I'm just an average Joe trying to support my family." Busta already is facing misdeameanor assault charges for allegedly attacking a man that spit on his car in August. Prosecutors in that case are seeking a plea deal that would send Busta to prison for six months on the misdemeanor assault charges, but so far that offer has been rejected.
